Consumers Energy Foundation Announces $500,000 Awarded to Cristo Rey Community Center, Roscommon County United Way

JACKSON, MI, Oct. 18, 2022 -- The Consumers Energy Foundation announced two grants today totaling $500,000 for two organizations — Cristo Rey Community Center in Lansing and Roscommon County United Way — in its third year of People Awards disbursements. American 1 and TRUE Community Exceed a Half a Million Dollars Raised for the Hospice Home

Jackson, MI – After going strong for 22 years, the annual Hit ‘em Fore Hospice Golf Benefit committee hosted their final golf benefit on Thursday, September 15. The unique partnership of American 1 Credit Union and TRUE Community Credit Union will continue, shifting focus to the existing Lights of Love fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting the Henry Ford Hospice Home in Jackson.

Community Bankers of Michigan Announces Folds of Honor Scholarship Awards

EAST LANSING, Mich — Community Bankers of Michigan (CBM), together with Isabella Bank, Mercantile Bank and Podium Risk Management, awarded Michigan students from military families scholarships at a presentation on September 21, 2022. CBM members raised more than $100,000 to fund $5,000 scholarships for 20 Michigan students through Folds of Honor, a national nonprofit that provides scholarships to spouses and children of America's fallen and disabled service members.

CMS Energy Announces New Executive Team Members - Guy Packard, VP of Electric Ops, to retire after 37 years

JACKSON, Mich., Sept. 6, 2022 – CMS Energy and its principal subsidiary Consumers Energy, announced today that Guy Packard, vice president of Electric Operations will retire after 37 years with the company and Chris Laird will be named vice president of electric operations effective September 16. Chris will be responsible for overseeing the construction, operation and maintenance of the company’s electric system that provides safe, reliable energy service to 1.8 million electric customers.
