Historian to Present on Jackson’s Profound Automotive History Wednesday
JACKSON COUNTY (June 10, 2024) – In the early 20th century Jackson was an automobile boom town! There were 24 companies that built cars in Jackson over the years. At one time, this industry was the largest employer in the city. At this free presentation, members of the public are invited to learn from local automotive historian Lloyd Ganton about this fascinating aspect of Jackson history. Following the presentation, a tour of the Museum, which includes 20 Jackson-made automobiles, will take place. The event is set to take place at the Ye Ole Carriage Shop Museum in Spring Arbor on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024, at 6 pm.
