Historian to Present on Jackson’s Profound Automotive History Wednesday

JACKSON COUNTY (June 10, 2024) – In the early 20th century Jackson was an automobile boom town! There were 24 companies that built cars in Jackson over the years. At one time, this industry was the largest employer in the city. At this free presentation, members of the public are invited to learn from local automotive historian Lloyd Ganton about this fascinating aspect of Jackson history. Following the presentation, a tour of the Museum, which includes 20 Jackson-made automobiles, will take place. The event is set to take place at the Ye Ole Carriage Shop Museum in Spring Arbor on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024, at 6 pm.

Consumers Energy Revamps Information Technology Team - Company Names Jim Beechey Vice President, Aaron Rajda Chief Digital Officer

JACKSON, Mich., May 14, 2024 – Consumers Energy today announced leadership changes in its information technology (IT) department. Tamara Faber, chief digital officer, is leaving the company effective May 31. Faber’s role will be split into two distinct IT functions: strategy and operations. Jim Beechey was named Vice President, IT and Security and Chief Information Officer effective Feb. 15, and Aaron Rajda will join the company as Vice President, Applications and Analytics and Chief Digital Officer effective Monday, May 20.
