American 1 Credit Union Donates $5,000 to SOAR Café


Jackson, MI – American 1 Credit Union has announced its donation to SOAR Café of $5,000. This contribution to the new café benefits women survivors and fosters financial wellness for all involved, supporting the missions of both SOAR and the credit union.

The soon-to-open SOAR Café, located at 401 S Mechanic St, will offer fresh, healthy food options. It will feature a walk-up coffee shop and diverse dining options to meet various customer needs. SOAR Café & Farms is a non-profit in Jackson, Michigan. SOAR, which stands for “She Overcomes and Rises,” serves women survivors of human trafficking, abuse, and trauma. These women are provided with safe and supportive housing, counseling, education, the opportunity for personal and financial independence, employment, food, and a strong community of advocates and partners. The café will also provide job opportunities to the women participating in the program, helping them develop work skills.
