BlueOx Credit Union Donates 400 Bus Passes to the Jackson Interfaith Shelter


Jackson, November 6th – The Jackson Area Transportation Authority (JATA) is proud to announce the donation of 400 bus passes to residents of the Jackson Interfaith Shelter by BlueOx Credit Union. The donation will help to ease transportation issues for individuals and families rebuilding their lives at the shelter.

The mission of BlueOx Credit Union is - to provide quality financial services that will improve and make a positive impact on the lives of our members, employees, and communities. “We are thrilled to be able to continue this partnership with JATA, to donate bus passes to the residents of the Jackson Interfaith Shelter, making it easier for people to get to work, interviews, and appointments,” said Lisa Huttenga, Jackson Branch Manager.

Residents of the Interfaith Shelter frequently face significant transportation challenges. "Safe and reliable transportation is a key component in helping people move out of and stay out of homelessness. Blue Ox’s partnership to support Jackson Interfaith Shelter’s provision of bus tickets for those in need is such an appreciated blessing," said Steve Castle, CEO of the Jackson Interfaith Shelter.
