Two months after winning first place in the Media Division at the annual Tripp's Auto Shop & Collision Centers and K-105.3 Chili Cook-Off, the team from Jackson Magazine/Jackson Publishing Co. captured the title in the annual Supermarket Sweep. It was held at Polly’s Country Market in Summit Township.
Held each year in the spring, the Supermarket Sweep brings teams from various media outlets together to collect food for the Salvation Army of Jackson, a partner agency of the Food bank of South Central Michigan. Each three-person team has five minutes to collect items from a pre-determined list of most-needed items.
This year seven teams participated representing: Jackson Magazine, Home.fm, K105.3, Avenue Auto, JTV, Seymour Auto and American 1 Credit Union – which co-sponsors the event with Polly’s Country Market. Winning this year’s event was the Jackson Magazine team of Marie Page, Katelyn Chrisinske and Mike Ambs. Congratulations to all who participated!
